Accessibility

What we have built in, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when we have got it wrong.

How the site is built

Every interactive control is reachable and operable from a keyboard, including the before-and-after comparison, which behaves as a slider and responds to the arrow keys, Home and End.

There is one focus treatment across the whole site and it is never removed. Headings run in order. Icon-only buttons carry labels. Motion is limited to one short fade, and it is switched off entirely for anybody whose system asks for reduced motion.

Where we fall short

The door drawings are decorative in most contexts and labelled where they carry information, but a drawn elevation is a poor substitute for a description if you cannot see it. We are working on written descriptions of each leaf.

We have tested with keyboard navigation and with VoiceOver. We have not yet tested with JAWS or Dragon.

Telling us

If something here does not work for you, email office@portavelle.co.uk. A person reads it, we will reply, and we would rather hear about it than not.

These were written by us rather than by a solicitor. Nothing in them reduces your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and if any of it is unclear, ask before you order rather than after.
