What we hold
If you send us a specification or an enquiry, we hold what you typed into the form. Your name and your email, then whatever else you gave us: a telephone number, a postcode, a rough size, a note about the step down into the hall. It sits in our email until the job is finished or you ask us to remove it.
If you put a photograph of your house through the visualiser, we do not keep it. It goes straight to OpenAI, who produce the image and hand it back, and it is discarded at both ends of that call. Their terms for this kind of use say they do not train on it and hold it briefly to check for abuse. Nothing is stored on our side, which means there is also nothing here for us to delete later.
If you open an account, we hold your email address and the link between it and orders already in your name. We do not create a record for you. The account is a way of looking at one that already exists.
If you place an order, we hold what you would expect: contact details, the delivery address, the specification and the invoice. Financial records are kept for six years because HMRC requires it.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your details to anybody. We do not use photographs of your house to train models, our own or anybody else's. We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked a question.
Payments
You cannot pay on this website. When there is something to pay we send a request through our payment provider, or the bank details for a transfer, so a card number never reaches a Portavelle system in the first place.
Asking us to delete something
Email office@portavelle.co.uk and we will remove whatever we are not legally required to keep, usually the same week. You do not need to give a reason.
These were written by us rather than by a solicitor. Nothing in them reduces your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and if any of it is unclear, ask before you order rather than after.
